BREAKING: Policemen Shooting Sporadically In Ibadan To Deescalate Protest Against Oyo Amotekun

Men of Operation Burst are currently shooting sporadically to deescalate protest against Oyo State Amotekun over an alleged killing of a teenager at Mokola area of Ibadan on Tuesday.

Hundreds of angry youths are gathering at Agodi State Secretariat with the corpse of the victim. The News Carrier NG correspondent witnessed the sporadic shootings at the state secretariat, Total Garden and Yemetu areas of Ibadan.

The protest kicked off at Mokola Roundabout around 6.20am before it was moved to the state Secretariat.

The rampaging youths barricade the main entrances of the state Secretariat. The protest hinder vehicular movement.

Protesters told the News Carrier NG correspondent that Amotekun corps allegedly killed a WAEC candidate at Mokola area of Ibadan around 2:30am on Wednesday. According to them, the victim who is also a printer apprientice was sent to buy foods at Saabo when he fell to the bullets of Amotekun corps.

An unconfirmed report from the protesters says that men of Amotekun also killed two persons at Sango area of Ibadan.

Details of the killings are still sketchy as at the time of filing this report as calls to Oyo State Amotekun Commandant were not successful.
